Hello! My name is Zoë Thompson, and I am a recent graduate from the University of Washington with a BA in Communication and a Minor in Entrepreneurship. In addition to the fundamentals of market research, public address, and economics, my education taught me how to meet deadlines, overcome obstacles, and adapt to ever-changing circumstances. Rain, snowpocalypse, or global pandemic, you can always count on me to get the job done. As my time in college comes to an end, I am thrilled to continue my journey in a professional setting.
During my education, I had the opportunity to work as a volunteer Marketing Specialist for Helping Link, an organization working to close the technology gap and increase literacy among Vietnamese refugees and immigrant families in the US. At Helping Link, I planned, managed, and executed strategic social media campaigns across Facebook and LinkedIn to gain volunteers and sponsors, raise awareness, and share important public health updates with Helping Link’s clients. Despite financial limitations and the challenge of operating during a pandemic, I was able to help Helping Link raise over $50,000 by creating social media advertisements and email campaigns for Helping Link’s virtual fundraiser gala.
More recently, A group of students and I teamed up to create Down the Ave, a fill in the blank card game based on our college experiences. Our goal was to foster community among college students separated by the pandemic by providing a relatable and authentic gaming experience. After extensive market research and several prototypes, we were able to secure an investment of over $5000 to manufacture 500 copies of our game.
I am always happy to discuss my experiences in education and life. Please feel free to reach out at email@example.com.
